It began with an idea of creating shapes into a horse using the barbering tools Gianni had grown up with. He then began deep research into the horse world studying breeds and their behaviour, hair type and growth patterns. After a year of casting across the UK, he finally met the Portuguese bull fighting horse, Sandokan. Gianni commissioned Tim Walker and was responsible for the production, art direction and publication in i-D magazine.
